The Holloman Biography
Holloman was born at 8:32am EST on Saturday, November 2nd 1968 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, NC.
After a quick stint in Fayetteville, the family moved to Winston-Salem, NC, where they remained until 1978. He attended Brunson Elementary School into the fourth grade.
In late 1978 he moved to Raleigh, NC, where he attended three different schools (one for each of fourth, fifth and sixth grades).
Finally, in October 1980, he moved to Columbia (specifically Landmark Apartments #10-G) and began attending Irmo Middle School, Campus I (now Crossroads Middle)—at this point in time, Campus I served 6th and 7th graders; 8th and 9th graders went to Campus R (now Irmo Middle School).
On his 16th birthday, Holloman moved to a new home in Irmo. Holloman graduated from Irmo High School #37 in a class of 700 in June 1987.
He remained in Irmo until August 1987, when he packed his bags and went to Winthrop College (it wasn't a University back then).
Holloman met his future wife at Winthrop, and together they graduated in May 1991. Holloman was #1 in the class, with a 3.98 GPA (only 1 “B”).
Holloman then moved back to Irmo, where he began teaching at Irmo Middle School, Campus R. After one year, he moved into an apartment and began teaching at the High School.
In June of 1993, Holloman and his wife were married at Sidney Park (now called Finley Park). They then moved into an apartment off of Broad River Road, where (much to their chagrin) they learned what became of all the slackers and drunks and party animals that they met in college.
In 1996 the pair moved to their new home in Irmo. The family dog (Charlotte) was added, and life continued until 1998.
Holloman's son Braeden was born at 6:26am EDT on Friday, June 26th 1998 at Lexington Hospital. Holloman then completed his Master's Degree in Mathematics in August 1999. Soon after, a new dog was added (Patty; a chihuahua-jack russell mix).
Life continued fairly uneventfully until 2006, when Charlotte died (April), and Holloman became the Department Chair for Mathematics.
